OpenAI is a maximalist company run by AI optimists. To the extent that the things tech companies do are bottlenecked by intelligence—if your finite number of smart people are busy building an ads business, they can’t also be busy building an enterprise agent product—whichever AI company is most ambitious about machine intelligence will also be most ambitious about how much the company itself can do. Still, they have to decide what to ship, and when; there are only 24 hours in a day, a finite amount of compute, and the latest models have not figured out what supplement stack eliminates the need to sleep, so we can only watch a finite number of launch livestreams. link
